Well, such as it is.....QTCs may well be a "bad" idea.
I suspect, however, that like most everything new that is proposed, only a
small contingent (sometimes just one voice) are expressly "for" it and a
slightly larger, however loud contingent is "agin" it (in this case...The
Happy Chorus of Nay-Sayers!) and the rest do not care one way or the other.
Examples of this are common. For instance, only a very small percentage of
American Colonialists were "for" independence from Great Britian; a slightly
larger contingent was "against," and everyone else was in the middle.
Once Independence was won, however, everybody was "for" independence and
could think of nothing better for the newly formed nation.
And so it would be with QTCs. IF they were ever instituted, guys would have
some fun scoring points via QTCs (which IS a lot more fun than searching for
the ONE very LAST station you have not worked late on Sunday afternoon!) and
suddenly, as if overnight, QTCs will have become a great idea afterall,
the Greatest Thing since Sliced Bread and Apple Pie....at least as against
the back drop of a decidedly S L O W PAQP Sunday!
Even the Happy Chorus of Nay Sayers, fresh from garnering higher scores and
having a lot more fun on PAQP Sunday via QTCs, will be converts, if however
reluctantly.
Being the only one with a good idea does not make it a bad idea...in fact,
good ideas often DO come on the lips of only ONE person.
Touche! LOL 73!
