I take it that my qrp staus was obvious this year!
I dunno, Doug...you still managed to hear me!
The saddest thing is that I spent a solid hour-an-a-half in Perry county...on Saturday night. IIRC, i worked 16 stations, and half of those were on 20 meters!
I agree that PAQ is more social gathering than contest...that's why I like it.
And I never set out to 'win'. If I do (like last year), it is simply a fluke! I just like to get out and hand out some of the rare...and lots of the not-so-rare...ones for folks.
And, you never know which county is rare and which isn't until late in the 'test!
Counting down to '03!

before you buy into this one. The QTCs really slow things down. If you are
waiting to work that elusive multiplier, you will wait for ever. It can be
very frustrating.

Log checking by NARC would be almost impossible especially for an all
volunteer operation.

Also, I checked my "QSO per Hour" rate for Sunday and found that it was up
and holding steady using S&P and CQing. Ran about 25 - 30 per hour for all
Sunday afternoon - not like the beginning of Party but enough to keep it
going.

It is hard enough out here in the "WoW" (West of the Wabash) to hear those
mobiles on phone - impossible if you are QRP. Harder still is hearing those
timid soles who run 100 watts and don't like to call CQ because they can't
find a hole. Added QRM of QTCs on Sunday would kill it for us.

Just my thoughts.
