Sorry I wacked the bee hive... When I posted the comment on Rover, I forgot
to change my domain name(usually go by robsonco.com instead of erie.net),
so it was kicked off by the list server about a month ago and I forgot to
resubmit until recently. Still, I just don't see the commitment from NARC
as in years past. I know myself I could just as easily sit in a county and
make 100K plus points, but I committed to "Rovering" in various counties
knowing full well I will have a compromised score (besides I can't work at
home with the twins KB3B & K3LD operating the QSO party). Doug brought
passion to this event and I would like to see that passion continue with
NARC. After doing my first Pa QSO party 22 years ago, if I don't do any
operating during the year, I still make an effort to do this party. I put
together the first PA QSO Party symposium and number of years ago in Erie
and if any one thinks this is just another contest was not at the first
symposium. I have friends forever due to this contest, that's the passion I
want to keep.
