[PaQSO] Pa-10M Groundwave Contest

Some years back I stumbled onto  a flurry of activity one evening...turned 
out to be the PA Ten Meter  Groundwave Contest   run by a group out of the 
Pgh Area.  What a blast!!!!.

At the time, I was located midway  between Cleveland and Columbus OHIO, 105 
miles due west of the Pa line.  With   a kw to a KT-34XA at 60 ft, I  worked  
c 50  Pa stations, the farthest east being in Somerset, another 85 miles into 
Pa..  

What an  enjoyable  few hours  on a  cold Friday night, for an old Pa boy.   
I didnt realize direct/ground wave could go so far! 

I could see  the same type contest held in the Hbg and Philly areas with 
great success.
