K-Node is already built into the tnc. Thats a kantronics specific node. You
might be talking about k-net chip. What it does is allow "theNet" protocol
to recognize your tnc as a network node. Chat is a feature you already have
in any kantronics kpc. The software is what it sounds like you need to
upgrade.
