Dave,

Weird. If the sound makes it to the speakers, then it's making it to the 
sound card -- so it should make it to the Sound Recorder (but you'll only 
see sounds on the S.R. scope if you press record).

If you go to the Control Panel and Select Sounds (or Multimedia, depending 
on your Windows version), under Audio, there should be a checkmark for 
"preferred devices". Does checking/un-checking that do any good?

What version of AGWPE? The latest is 2002.10 and it fixed a problem with 
AGWPE failing to find the correct audio device. (It used to incorrectly try 
to use a modem device in some instances.)

And you're only using one sound card, right?

What version Windows?

Using the AGWPE Sound Card Tuning Aid (from the AGWPE main menu) can you 
see any signals in "Sine Wave" mode?
