Greetings, One and All,

Saturday, Rickreal held a hamfest, as most of you are aware.  Our vehicle
developed broken tranny linkage and by the time it was repaired the day was
shot.  We missed the meeting which was a decided loss and my wife and I were
seriously disappointed.  The best laid plans....

Rick Arens/AAR0FC did make it to Rickreal and then went out of his way on
the journey back to swing out to the coast to deliver his generously donated
ICOM 751A to our station. I am beginning to make cables for it and am
looking for a tuner so we can have 24/7 operations of the Oregon Army MARS
Gateway.

Rick certainly put in a lot of driving and time to fulfill his word and make
sure his most thoughtful donation to Oregon Army MARS got to the Gateway
station.  No one could have done more for the membership in this project!
I'm sure I speak for the members when I say, well done, Rick, and sincere
thank-you's for this generous gesture.

Thought everyone should know - after all, Rick gave this radio to you all.
