Greetings Everyone in Oregon Army MARS,

Ya'll have been doing great work - the net attendance average has gone from
4.5 stations per net just a year ago to 9+ at the present time.  Magnificent
increase.  The digital training nets have been averaging 5 stations per net
with anywhere from 7 to 9 checkins on the reinstated Saturday net.  These
digital nets are multi-mode nets and are there for the members to learn
digital net procedures, familiarization with digital software, and gaining
experience with digital modes in a net environment.

Due to some personal changes in my schedule, the Region 10 Gateway will now
be open from 1805 PDT to 2330 PDT only.  The late morning/afternoon schedule
has been dropped as of this date. (04/16/04)  Also, I must relinquish my NCS
schedules as my new daily routines do not allow reliable attendance for
those nets. These changes in NO WAY reflect upon the membership of Oregon
Army MARS, the SMD or his staff members.  It is entirely a personal change
in goals and daily activities.

During the past year, Oregon Army MARS has grown in skills and operations
and every member can congratulate themselves for these changes.  It is my
personal opinion that the members of Oregon Army MARS has far surpassed the
skills required to complete the mission assigned them by HQ.  It is my
sincere hope that the dedication and high standards the members have shown
in the past 12 months continues throughout the present year - I feel
confident this will be a fulfilled hope.  Well done, Oregon.  Well done.
