Greetings All,

There have been some major changes decided upon at AAR0NH / AT0TFC which
have necessitated altering the Region 10 Gateway access hours.

Starting this date, 04/16/04, the Region 10 Gateway will be open from 1805
PDT to 2330 PDT.  All daily traffic from Western Area Gateway will be
listed, as usual.

Thank you all, and I hope you all will continue to use the Gateway.  This is
a 5 1/2 hour access period and according to past usage, should be sufficient
for all using stations to gain access to the Gateway.

Other business happening in Oregon; the Saturday digital training net has
been reinstated and is operating on multi-modes of Amtor/voice.  Also,
AAM0TOR and AAR0JY, along with AAM0OR are working to establish a change for
the 5 PM net to a later time - hopefully 7 and 8 PM (all PDT times)  until
such time as Army MARS issues us new frequencies for a permanent 7 PM
slot...it has been months since the SMD requested this change and there has
been no response from Army MARS to this date. Hopefully, this will be
resolved in a positive fashion so our members who have working schedules
will have access to daily nets, and our new members can complete their
training requirements.

Region 10 Army MARS has some of the best radio operators on the air.  We are
proud of them all and hope they will continue to operate within the MARS
structure in their present dedication which far exceeds the mission
requirements of Army MARS.
