Greetings All,

The Saturday morning Gateway tests were a complete success! We nailed down
2 of the 5 frequencies to be tested as usable for morning linkups. Now we
will conduct similar tests tonight at 9PM PDT to determine the better
frequencies for night linkups. Anyone who can tune to the 5 test
frequencies, or a few of the test frequencies are asked to participate - if
you cannot transmit Pactor, please know that your monitoring of the tests is
just as important to us and your report will be considered in the choosing
of permanent freqs. for the future usage of the Gateway.

We will rally on KFH 7720.0 LSB with +offset of 2.2 and determine who we
have for testing linkups and who will be monitoring. This really is a, "the
more the merrier" situation, so if you can possibly meet us on KFH, please
do so.

The five freqs. previously sent on this oremem list will be those under test
with the exception of KMO. KMO will not be suitable for intra-state
communications. This leaves us with KFH, KEG, KGB, AND KCQ. It should not
take us longer than an hour for the tests as we did it all in one hour and
fifteen minutes this morning.

Thanks again for your time and cooperation. Together, we are building a
suitable Gateway for Oregon. After the tests, I will send you all, through
this medium, a full account of how to post messages to members on the
Gateway so they will be auto-forwarded to that station upon his/her linkup
with the Gateway. This will include MARSGRAMS you wish to send to
out-of-state Gateways and persons. Exciting, eh what?

73's and all the good numbers,
leo
