Olivia is almost all on 20m, usually on 14071 with an offset of 1500Hz. Use Olivia 8-250 which is most popular. Very sparse often though except weekends. However, the Vienna (VA) Wireless Society has a digital net using Olivia 16-500 every Tuesday Night 8pm EST using Olivia 16-500 on 7071.5 offset 1500 Hz. PSK is often on 14070.

Next make sure your Transmit ALC Level is not being over driven. Next set your Receive Bandwidth no lower than 2.4Khz and turn off the NR Filter and Notch Filter. I had a 43 minute QSO after calling CQ a few times. At that moment I thought it was going to my ticket to more QSOs from my backyard portable setup. Unfortunately, all my attempts since has resulted in zero QSOs. No clue if just bad timing, wrong band, tx issue on my end, etc.It would be great to know how often folks are on and what modes. No fun calling CQ with no one calling back.73KD2SPJGet Outlook for Android<https://aka.ms/AAb9ysg>________________________________From: omik-bounces at mailman.qth.net <omik-bounces at mailman.qth.net> on behalf of Reginald Smith via OMIK <omik at mailman.qth.net>Sent: Sunday, September 22, 2024 9:54:48 AMTo: omik at mailman.qth.net <omik at mailman.qth.net>Subject: [OMIK] Non-FT8 HF digital modesAnyone else in OMIK big on digital conversation modes (RTTY, PSK, Olivia, Thor, etc.)? Also JS8 though FT8 underlines it? I was wondering if enough people were interested whether an informal or formal digital mode net on 40 meters in some evening would be popular?Reggie______________________________________________________________OMIK mailing listHome: http://mailman.qth.net/mailman/listinfo/omikHelp: http://mailman.qth.net/mmfaq.htmPost: mailto:OMIK at mailman.qth.netThis list hosted by: http://www.qsl.netPlease help support this email list: http://www.qsl.net/donate.html______________________________________________________________OMIK mailing listHome: http://mailman.qth.net/mailman/listinfo/omikHelp: http://mailman.qth.net/mmfaq.htmPost: mailto:OMIK at mailman.qth.netThis list hosted by: http://www.qsl.netPlease help support this email list: http://www.qsl.net/donate.html ______________________________________________________________OMIK mailing listHome: http://mailman.qth.net/mailman/listinfo/omikHelp: http://mailman.qth.net/mmfaq.htmPost: mailto:OMIK at mailman.qth.netThis list hosted by: http://www.qsl.netPlease help support this email list: http://www.qsl.net/donate.html
