On all digital Modes make sure your PC is synced to the Internet for timing.  Next make sure your Transmit ALC Level is not being over driven.  Next set your Receive Bandwidth no lower than 2.4Khz and turn off the NR Filter and Notch Filter.

I'm not big on nets but would be interested in knowing members who regularly operatesl non FT digital modes.

I tried Olivia for the first time in July 2023. I had a 43 minute QSO after calling CQ a few times.  At that moment I thought it was going to my ticket to more QSOs from my backyard portable setup.  Unfortunately, all my attempts since has resulted in zero QSOs.  No clue if just bad timing, wrong band, tx issue on my end, etc.

It would be great to know how often folks are on and what modes.  No fun calling CQ with no one calling back.

Anyone else in OMIK big on digital conversation modes (RTTY, PSK, Olivia, Thor, etc.)? Also JS8 though FT8 underlines it? I was wondering if enough people were interested whether an informal or formal digital mode net on 40 meters in some evening would be popular?Reggie
