I'm not sure a QSO party is the best intro for the 18-24 demographic. My
guess is that they would look at it as grandpa's CB. I think a focus on
maker type aspects of the hobby would be a better path to capturing their
interest. Things being done with SDR dongles, small PC boards
(Pi,Audrino), balloons, satellites, QRP rigs, etc.
In another email, I mentioned NSBE chapters as a possible way to get in
front of the eyes of students. It could be a presentation at one of their
monthly meetings. Based on interest, we could then move on to other
activities like QSO parties.

the early 90's when I was in school. Looks like they have pre-college
programs now too.
