[OMIK] Learn CW

Hi everyone,
First let me say that CW has really changed my life. I loved ham radio before but now it's an obsession! I guess that's good, right?

I want to share something and encourage you to think about an option. I got my start with the basics in LICW, such nice supportive people in that club and they've become good friends of mine. I sometimes POTA with them because they are (like me) OBSESSED and ADDICTED to doing POTA, even in these cold New York winters. We POTA doing CW and have a blast!

My real gains, however, came when I took (free) coaching with CW Innovations. The program took me from a struggling 10 wpm - the dreaded plateau I was stuck on - to becoming someone who can head copy (!!!) and copy at somewhere between 15 and 18 wpm. On a good day I can "sort of" copy at 20 if my brain cooperates.

Talk about life-changing moments! I love everything about being able to do this (I can send at 23 wpm but why bother right now because I cannot copy at that speed, right?) I'm less nervous and now, if I make mistakes or miss a few characters, I just relax and let it go so it doesn't bog me down. 

CW Innovations asks only that you know the Code and already have a presence on the air, are actively involved in QSOs, and that you practice regularly. It is highly personalized coaching in a friendly supportive environment. Just when you think you can't make more friends.....you do!! CW Innovations' training is what helped me participate in the OMIK Wednesday net with so much more confidence than I have ever had before. I'm so grateful to OMIK for helping me grow in my CW skills too. I love hearing familiar fists every week on the net.

I am actually now one of the coaches but all we do as coaches is share our story and guide people through the 10-week curriculum. I have LEARNED how to teach myself to improve my own proficiency - proficiency and understanding over speed.
