[OKDXA] NX5O Silent Key

Good Morning friends........
I am sad to announce the passing of our friend Craig Wright, NX5O.  While he did have ongoing health problems, his passing was still a surprise to many.
Craig called me last Saturday and we spoke for almost an hour.  He shared that he had recently suffered thru more COVID and pneumonia problems and had ultimately been diagnosed with lung cancer.  He told me, with resignation, that he would start chemo on Tuesday, June 20 and that statistically speaking, he had about 31 months to live.  But he passed away on that same Tuesday.
Craig was an ex-member of OKDXA and the most prolific RTTY operator and contester that I've ever met.  He was a serious DXer and participated in at least one of the OKDXA trips to Palau in the 1990s.  He was just a good guy, always happy and fun to be around.  Having the same first name gave us something to continually use to insult each other, as in, one of us was Craig #1 and the other guy was just the lowly Other Craig.
He called me to talk about helping him find someone to install his tower and monster Force 12 beam so he would have something to do around the house as he struggled with the chemotherapy.
Craig Wright was 66 years old when he left this world way too early on June 20, 2023 ...............
RIP Friend, see you on the other side :)
