  Good Evening OKDXA...
I am sad to report that Bill Roberson - N5AQ of Norman, Oklahoma
became a silent key earlier this week. Bill was a long time member of
the OKDXA and frequently attended our meetings. I believe he was 87
years old. He was a dedicated DXer with 330 DXCC entities confirmed.
Some of his previous callsigns were WN5CPX, WA5CPX, KD5TVW, & VP2V/N5AQ.
In his early years, Bill was a Radioman First Class in the US Coast
Guard. He was a proficient CW operator.
Bill and I went on a DXpedition together to the British Virgin Islands
in October of 2019. We made a lot of QSOs and had a good time. From my
recent DX trip to Chatham Island as ZL7/K5WE I had 18 QSOs with N5AQ.
After I returned I told Bill he was the loudest signal I heard on every
band from Oklahoma. His station and antennas were working good.
N5AQ will be missed... RIP Bill...

73,
Jeff - K5WE
