[OKDXA] 3Y0J - FT8 Info, etc...

My two cents....

They have put a lot of time into this plan and it looks like they have
taken care of the usual problems. I think they are limiting the FT8
operations for a couple of reasons. One would be to placate the FT8
naysayers. Another would be to keep down interference since they plan on
running FT8 24/7. Also this takes advantage of the "weak signal aspect of
the mode,"

I'm not sure they are planning on running F/H. I didn't find that they
mention it but they do mention one operator running more than one FT8 rig.
If I read it correctly, With the number of fixed triband/WARC beams on the
major areas, there should be no problem working them even if they are
multistreaming with only 20 watts per stream.

This should really be a fun experience for those that have not worked a
very rare station. It will be an absolute madhouse. Hopefully, I will be
able to pick them up on 160 and 80 as well as the WARC bands. I also need
them on digital and SSB. All of my Bouvet QSO's have been CW.

I'm sure a lot of you will have a new one in your log after this
dxpedition. I certainly hope so and that they pull this off without anyone
getting hurt.
