GM OKDXA DXers,
About a hundred years ago, before DXclusters, or chat-rooms, even before
the internet, there was a local group of DXers who monitored a 2 meter FM
simplex frequency. They used that frequency for DX alerting and general
chit-chat about DX. I, as a young DXer at the time, learned a lot from the
wisdom of the local old-timers. I kind of miss those days. The web pages,
blogs, clusters, etc. are just not the same...
A while ago, I pulled my old 2 meter FM radio off the shelf and hooked up
my ringo antenna. I've been monitoring the simplex frequency 147.54 when I
am in the shack. It seems very un-busy. So, if you are in the Tulsa/NE
Oklahoma area and want to chat about DX or anything else, give me a shout.
Hope to hear you on 147.54...

Jeff - K5WE
