It should thin out by tomorrow, Kim. Hang in there! I wish I lived
closer to other dxers. Back in the 80s, in local qth's around the globe,
local dxers spotted for each other on an open 2 meter frequency. That
was really nice and both promoted interest and provided encouragement
and modeling of good operating practice for new dxers. Spots were real
time and relevant. Unfortunately, the current equivalent (internet DX
cluster) is only marginally useful and encourages (or at least
facilitates) the growing ranks of poor dxers and outright qrm factories.
Legions of hams seem to relish the chaos they can cause during rare
expeditions.

I simply can't tune across a 20 kHz wide pile up (that never lets up) fast enough to catch who they're working. I've managed to find their target only a few times and never repeatably, so I've never been able to drop a call where they're listening. My Orion II has a subreceiver that's pretty good, so I'm better off than if I have to switch between VFOs. But if this keeps up, without a good panadapter, I may be out of this hunt...
