[OKDXA] FT5ZM

It's such an astounding, jaw-dropping lidfest that I may not get them in any log (mine or theirs) before I leave for my trip on Sunday. I'm back on Thursday, but they may be done by then. I simply can't tune across a 20 kHz wide pile up (that never lets up) fast enough to catch who they're working. I've managed to find their target only a few times and never repeatably, so I've never been able to drop a call where they're listening. My Orion II has a subreceiver that's pretty good, so I'm better off than if I have to switch between VFOs. But if this keeps up, without a good panadapter, I may be out of this hunt...

GA All,

Worked them late morning on 17m at 17:32Z.  Their sigs were 599 at heading
of 300 deg.  The pile was only about 5KHz wide.  I listened to the pile
with the sub receiver and moved up or down a KHz or two to call them.  It
still took a while to work them.  They were fairly weak but readable on 10
and 12 this morning.  No cigar on 10 or 12 but will keep trying....

Using the new KPA500 with the K3.  It sure works slick.  I forget that it
is even on.  ;-)
