[OKDXA] LoTW Question

Kim,

Jim is rigging things so he can crank it all up after mounting the
tower, etc. He doesn't intend to do any climbing. The help he needed was
a fellow who could do some welding and someone who had an auger to drill
a hole for the ground mounted gin pole. He now has the pole set behind
the tower base, and the tower is assembled on the ground. He is waiting
now for a friend with a welder and another with a bucket truck to weld
some stiffeners to the back of the gin pole. He has his antenna together
and on a saw horse and ready to mount on the tower. The rotor and feed
lines are run and ready to hook up. So....he should have it up in the
air by this weekend if all goes to plan.

He has mentioned your Globe Champ project. Jim is quite fond of old
radios and restoring them. I went through that phase a number of years
ago. The only old gear I have left are an Elmac AF67 and a Drake 2A (and
an HQ129X that I have working but needs a lot of work).

Did I notice your name on one of the control line model airplane forums
this summer? That is another of my passions. I flew RC pattern very
competitively for about 20 years, but quit in about 1995 and have been
back flying CL ever since. I am not really good, but I sure enjoy it.
