Bob:

Yes, we are talking about burying it.  It should hold up above the ground
but it will not hold up long if it is buried.  I am going to use OX-GARD on
all of my connections, also.

Don't know how it would hold up buried, but I just bought 1/4 mile at 
Tractor Supply for $16. I have had about 2000 feet up in the form of 
beverages for a couple years. Looks as good now as when I put it up. Did 
have one run break when a kite got hung up on a short run and the wind 
whipped it around until it stress fractured. I just wrapped it back 
together and all is well.
