Hi Coy,
Let me ask a few question first are you going to be contesting with it or 
mainly DXing with it?

Is field operation important?

Is digital operation important?

Last question are you going to be running more than one radio with high 
power at a time with nearby antennas?

There are plus and minus to all radios.  All of them have warts, but I 
wanted to get a feel for what you are aiming for before I make comments
