Well I think I've figured out why some of my pgms won't wrk on Vista. I've
learned that Vista upgraded to 32 bit while most of old pgms are 16 bit and
incompatible with Vista. I'm wondering if that's not the reason I cannot use
K3LR's cluster from our website.

I number of yrs ago I had purchased DX Telnet with the understanding it was
free for life including all upgrades. I was informed to upgrade to the 32 bit
version it would cost $20. I'm feeling ripped off. He would hv to upgrade his
progam no matter what to remain viable. So while it still runs on my XP
laptop I think I'll pass at his attempt for a second bite of the apple.

Many tnx to all who responded to my plight.

Now I'm soliciting suggestions for my next project...................

I hv several pieces of nr 16 stranded copper wire which are oxidized that
I'm attempting to solder together.

I guess I could spread the wires out and try and use sandpaper, but I don't
hv faith that I'll be able to get a good connection. Does anyone know of a
liquid that will work ?? Would something like Copper Brite wrk ?? The thought
has crossed my mind that a workable solution might leave a residue which would
also prevent a good connection and that something else might hv to be
applied before soldering.

Has anyone run into this problem ??

With VK9W coming on next wk and 3C the week after I hope to be ready but hv
much antenna repair wrk to due first....................

Mny Tnx to all..........................................
