Ross's Ramblings:
Saturday June 17 06 mail produced a QSL card from W0GJ operating as
VU4AN/VU3RYJ for a 14 MHz CW QSO. That was my last one needed for the
"335" count. Then in the blink of an eye, two more entities are added
to the list making 337. Now, does the date worked supercede the DXAC
acceptance date? Would it be wise to go ahead and submit the VU4 card
and wait until the DXAC passes judgement or wait until the two new ones
trickle in and wait another 3 months? (1/10/07 & still waiting on my
Montenegro 4O3T card.) It's been so long since a new one came this
way, I forgot how it works. Andaman was the last one needed to qualify
for #1. Now, we have Montenegro & Swains to confirm or do we? Those of
us that only needed Andaman Isl had the "335" for a month or so.
Did I qualify for #1 DXCC or do I have to wait on the 4O3T card?
(answers later)
Hope you have Montenegro & Swains in the log. (Had Kan's card back in
two weeks. Bill Kennamer introduced me to him Dayton 94)
Read that 4O3T and others are already accepted. KH8SI is now accepted.
Ultimately a lot of band/modes were possible. Did I mention i'm still
waiting on the 4O3T card?
I would appreciate some advance notice if you want your cards checked
at Green Country. I might have to have some help. Since the rules for
the submission forms are rather confusing at times, another option is
to bring your cards here. I promise to bring the Sony to GC. Looking
forward to it. Get your resume in order for officer elections.
Sure sorry to hear about Wayne Mills N7NG leaving his ARRL position.
(great ambassador for DX). Heard him speak at our banquet and many
other gatherings. He's still with us, will be active in LOTW and might
do another DXpedition. I'll always remember his blessing some 160 meter,
older than ten years, etc. cards I hand carried for one of our members
to HamCom. Must get my 80 meter wires working. Hi Judy - Laura sez HI.
More later..... 73
