They picked those old b*astards for the coke bottle envelope and the
tube-ish-ness of their appearance. Let's get real... 1% THD @ 10 watts? You
can beat that spec eight ways 'til the QSO Party with a pair of EL-34's or
the ever-popular 7189.

$800 bucks for a 44 watt amplificator and they couldn't spring for a power
tranny with dual primaries so it could run 110 without a step-down
transformer?

Pfffffft!
