That it's SOP for modern tube equipment to display the tube(s) through the
front panel? Kinda' like... Lookee there! It's one'a them tube thangs what
glows in th'dark!

Then again, there is the Plexiglas Donut / Living Room UFO school of tube
decoration... Perhaps in a darkened room the plexi picks up a little
filament glow. As for me, I'd pay an extra $200 just for the blue LED's.
Rumor has it W5ATV was going to bid in this auction, but thought better of
it as he really wanted two of them. One for the house, one for the shack.
