At that same time, I had a sked with PY3CEJ to give him OK on 160 meters.
There was visable lighning on the horizon maybe 20 miles away.  The QRN was
way over S9.  I still worked Al quite easily in the extra loud static.  I
did not think much about it at the time.  But, maybe conditions were
extraordinary.  I did not listen any longer because of the impending storm.
