Where do you guys get all this energy & time? Hafta admit Jerry is/has/done
his share of the
chores around here. Remind me to take him & xyl out for dinner.
Regardless, this is a monumental
undertaking. Hope we can do it justice. Let me know how I/we/xyls can
help. Not anxious to be
a sorter or presorter but if the NJDXA can require each member to take a
letter and still maintain
their contributions to the effort and keep members, I'm game. Now I can
yak with my NJDXA pals
and understand their frustrations. Not sure why Randy isn't able to
continue with the web pages
etc. but I promise not to bring it up again. I might even start to use the
bureau now. Haven't done
anything but keep an envelope or 5 on hand and get SWL's since day one.
Never used the
outgoing bureau. Probably won't still. (I'd pay registered mail costs for
an Andaman card) I reckon
Floyd is deserving of some peace & quiet.
I should send Jerry some of my clients. I can see a
profit/benefit/advantage to that. Let me know
if you're ready for some more volunteer work. hi
Regardless, let's get on with it.
Lookin' forward to HamCom 2003. You guys have fun at the W5 DX Bash. Have
clients to support
from this end on those dates. Someone write up a tidbit about what
transpired. (this means you
Jim & Jim & "Uncle John".) Have to hand it to Coy for his recruitment
efforts. This will sure mean
some accolades due the OKDXA. I'm proud to be one of the first
members/organizers/contributors
etc.

Reading Nelson's 3rd row transcript of the Choctaw meet you obviously need
to speak louder - I missed quite a bit of your sermon.

Jerry,
I think your right...Those rare DX stations can't seem to hear me, either.

More Stuff
The Texas QSO Party continues today until 2000Z. Take a few minutes and
roll
around and give them some Q's. Maybe they will remember us in March!

I'm sure most of you are aware that the 5 Land Bureau head Floyd/N5FG is
stepping down for personal reasons. With a great deal of pleasure-and no
small amount of pride-I am happy to announce that one of our own
Jerry/K5YAA
has accepted the position and has been confirmed by Newington.
AND
The OKDXA Officers & Directors have approved the OKDXA for club sponsorship
of the 5 Call area bureau! Is this great or what? Stay tuned for lots
more
news on this subject.
On behalf of the OKDXA, congratulations Jerry, I know you will do a great
job.
