[OFARC] OFARC Digest, Vol 163, Issue 4

All, everyone has to let the repeater drop to the beep plus 3 seconds of dead air.  This gives time for everything to pass through the network.  Nobody can break in even on the RF side.

Ref. yr comment on Net attendees adhering to the Echolink 60 Sec timeout viz.

 

 [?? I don't think you will ever get the guys to slow down or wait so
Echolink can work?? You tell them and tell them but they DON'T do it]

 

So here's a request for the 4 OFARC Net Control Operators (that includes me) to either look at their watch or have a similar timer available during the Net via the Web,

and to attempt 'Drops' every 50 seconds or so.

 

Pls get back to me after the next Net and let me know if/how things have improved.
