The ARRL Education & Technology Fund provides financial support to ARRL education initiatives in wireless technology, including placing stations in schools and training teachers at the ARRL Teachers Institute. The Teachers Institute is an expenses-paid professional development program intended to provide teachers with tools and strategies to introduce their students to basic electronics, the science of radio space technology and satellite communications, weather science, microcontrollers, robotics, and amateur radio.

In 2022, ARRL is offering four in-person sessions of the Teachers Institute – three at ARRL HQ in Newington, Connecticut and one in Dayton, Ohio. This program provides teachers with tools and strategies to introduce basic electronics, the science of radio, space technology and satellite communications, weather science, and microcontrollers to their students. You must be an active teacher at an elementary, middle, high school or at a community college or university, or in a leadership or enrichment instruction role in a homeschooling or after-school program.

The grant to attend a Teachers Institute covers transportation, hotel, a modest per-diem for meals, instructional resources for electronics kits, and microcontrollers.
