[OFARC] POTA activation today at The Attwater Prairie Chicken National Wildlife Refuge

Colleagues,

Good morning.  As the rains seem to have let up for the moment, I'm 
going to try to activate a park west of the city: The Attwater Prairie 
Chicken National Wildlife Refuge.  It's part of the Parks on The Air 
(POTA) program, and judging from the pictures, there are some picnic 
tables there.  I plan to be there today from 10am - 12 noon on the 
frequencies of 14.311 or 14.313 (or thereabouts).  Yeah on the count of 
the rains I'll be taking plenty of mosquito repellent, & sunscreen.

It may be far away enough from Houston to let us make some short-skip 
contacts!
