I was at the community building from 9am to 11am and checked in to the 145.170 net.
Also Sent a radio gram that local CERT leader had declared my location as command post for emergencies on 146.940 net.
Did anyone get a chance to listen to the activity??

Subject: Simulated Emergency Test (SET) Exercise this weekend
Yesterday I received a note describing a drill being done this Saturday
It starts at 9am and goes until noon
Our local ARES group (Amateur Radio Emergency Services) has teamed up with Red Cross to simulate communications from neighborhoods and shelters.
Toward that end, they have asked radio operators to operate from parks or potential shelters.
I thought it a good idea to reach out to the HOA and CERT since they would have a vested interest in such an exercise.
I hope to be at the GCA building Saturday Morning to operate from my truck and also try my hand held radio.
My idea is to prove we can talk to Transtar by hand held or portable radio during an emergency.
I hope to be a the park from 9am until about 11 am
If you are interested in joining me for this little outing, please RSVP by Friday evening.
We could use the time to help get you familiar with the radios, protocol, or to program your radio if needed.
(Please bring the instruction book with you!)
The file named “ICS201 “ describes the scenario.
The other file describes briefly what is in a “radio gram”.
The radio gram form is available at the link below.

I can put this onto the SETAC and OFARC sites. Or would you rather do that?
