Club Members,
I’m collecting your FD reports and will compile a summary to post on our web page. Be sure to indicate:
Total QSOs, QSOs per band and operating modes (SSB,FM,CW,Digital). I think it’s fair to say that our club score will be better than last year, ‘cep for the non-operating bonus points we typically get.
I my opinion, nothing is simpler than a piece of paper for recording your contacts real-time.
Attaching the ARRL log sheet.
Thanks,
Barry –KG5IRR

Subject: [OFARC] 2020 FD results
Thank you Rick for giving us the details of your results. It made me go back and examine mine closer and I really did better than I thought. I struggled with new software (mistake to do just before FD!) and a persistent S7-9 noise level. I was not on the radio constantly but probably put in about 4-5 hours spread out over the two days. I did search and pounce only. I only worked 20 meters, ssb and ended up with:
Total: 35
States: 26, including 1 Canadian and 1 PR
Call areas: All 10!!
In Texas, I have qso's that reported from NTX, WTX, and STX.
