I wish I could be there to support JOTA, but not ready to venture out very much….. mail box and back is about it.

I hear a lot of complaints about our hobby getting too grey or newbies with bad operating procedures….. nothing will change unless we make it change by showing up and reaching out to the youth.

Subject: Jamboree on the air

Below is the info I got about jamboree on the air last night from my local scout group. I plan on showing up before 9:00 so I can get in the scout room and start setting up and tuning the antennas since I’ve never used the icom 7300 or the accompanied antenna. I will also being my icom 7100 and buddipole and might set that up as a uhf/vhf station as well as having a few hand helds and echolink. I hope that this goes this well this year and maybe we can have jota as a stand alone event next year for our area. Please let me know if you are able/willing to help. We will be using the call sign KG9BSA this weekend which is my scout Troops club call I might need help with putting up the antenna if someone is able to help out if so please send me an email and I’ll send you my plans.
