Subject: Re: [OFARC] Field Day Update

Greetings all,
I am finally done with Cub Scout twilight camp for the summer and I can start focusing back on ham radio. I have been asked to do a ham radio preview at my neighborhood scout roundtable Thursday night and was wondering if anyone had some club/field day fliers I can hand out at the event. I have the ARRL scouting pamphlet and I can get stuff from k2bsa for jota.

Field Day operators… please bring headphones and a Y splitter if you have one.
We may have enough people to have someone log for each operator
The splitter will also allow selected few of interested public to listen in as you work.

We physically laid out the antennas and cables today.
This test run showed we need to modify the inside table layout a little so we don't have to get a bunch more cable. (but jumpers have been promised that will help)
All together we are looking good.
Displays are ready, antennas ready, feed cable good, Transtar possible, 90% likely scouts coming for some MB requirements.

City Council Rep – says she will be at our site around 1pm Saturday

I am eager to see how many of our neighbors show up.

FOOD – we have snacks and water provided by Glenshire Women’s Association
NO GRILL at this time
We will likely have use of the full kitchen (refrigerator defilnitely)
If someone wants to set up a grill for lunch, that would be great.

GASOLINE – one of my neighbors has offered to provide a couple (2) 5-gallon cans of gasoline for the generator.

FEED LINES – we have enough on hand or promised
