Scout Fair is Saturday April 14.

The Ft Bend county em-com van will be there.

I have volunteered to set up radios and demonstrate

We really should have 3-4 operators.

At any one time I expect 2 operating and 2 talking to scouts.

I think I have 2 volunteers for the scout fair ..

                Wes

                Dom (?????)

Please confirm (I have not found my notes)

Any others???

I can bring HF plus a VHF/UHF radio.

I have asked for 3 x15A circuits for power.

If sunny, I can run on solar

We need

a table ( I have 1, we need 2)

pop-up tarp or similar.

Mr. Spears,

I just wanted to touch base and assure you that the local scout council has
carved out a space for the EMROG van at the scout fair.

Please refresh my memory on the space required for the van.

I have asked my contact on the scout fair committee to provide details of:

When can we set up (probably 6-8 a.m.)

Where do we set up (south side of the arena ??)

Space available ???

I have also asked for 3 circuits of 15A each for my team of radio operators
- to be set up along side the van

Ralph Phillips

Happy New Year Mr. Spears.

I have just received a request from the 2018 Scout Fair committee to have
the EMROG van available as an exhibit again this year.

It was very well received in 2017 by scouts and leadership.

The fair will be back at Reliant Center, so there will be much more room and
fewer obstacles to deal with.

Date is April 14, 2018

>From 8am to 3pm

This year I propose something slightly different:

Use the van as an exhibit to explain what your group does and how it
benefits during emergencies

Radio contacts will be made from a separate tent set up near the van (I was
in the van last year and I felt it detracted from your team's discussion)

The only thing I promised the scouts so far is to ask about the EMROG van.

Please explore the possibility to see if it may be available.

I know it's availability would be contingent upon any other needs that may
arise.

Thanks & Regards,

Ralph Phillips

Mr. Phillips, we would be glad to assist with a demonstration of the
capabilities of our Emergency Radio Operators Group (EMROG) communications
trailer. If you could give me a date and time in May, I will contact the
president of the group. His name is Peter Sauermilch. I provide the trailer,
but he and his group of volunteers provide the know how to operate the
equipment. My contact information is listed below. Call me and I will see
what kind of arrangements can be made to help your scouts.
