Total lunar Eclipse (Jan 20/21) - naked eye or binocular event

Geminid meteor shower  (Jan 3/4) - naked eye event

 

New Horizons spacecraft will fly by its next target. After Pluto  (Jan 1) -
turn on the TV or check NASA news

A body so far out we only found it a few years ago.
