The field strength project looked simple enough and didn't use tubes.

Thanks for sharing.  Tubes?  I think not.  Perhaps something from here would
be a more useful club project for us.

I'll do a little research on the ant. analyzer to rollup costs.  If they've
got unpopulated PCBs for sale, that would be the most cost effective option
but could probably order boards from on-line suppliers, I'd guess 10 for <
$100.

Subject: [OFARC] AM Transmitter project - HamNation

Bob Heil's on-line show called HamNation has been doing a step by step
project to build an AM transmitter.

They call it the "Pine board project" because everything is mounted on
small pieces of pine board.

the show walks  you through the parts, assembly, and purpose of each
section .... field strength meter, power supply, transmitter section, &
final amplifier

the web page is ......

https://heilsound.com/amateur-radio-post/the-pine-board-project/

a place called Antique Electronic Supply is starting to provide kits for
each section.

Has anyone followed the series?  done the project?  Comments??

perhaps a club project ?????
