Updating and correcting my recent FS posting:
1) Yaesu FT-757GXII, computer controllable 100-watt 160-10 CW/SSB/AM/FM
transceiver (general coverage receive) with stock SSB/CW filters, Yaesu
MH-1B8 hand mic (with up/down buttons on top), DC power cord and USB to
rig cable for computer interface. It will also come with the manuals,
one set on CD-ROM. Two problems: First, the CW carrier oscillator
crystal will not net onto frequency so CW may not work but the rig works
fine on SSB; Second, the bearing on the tuning shaft is worn and the
shaft is a bit "wobbly" although that does not affect the tuning
significantly. Otherwise the rig in in good shape with some wear on the
exterior here and there but overall it is pretty nice. Asking $225.00.
2) Yaesu FT-757GX transceiver, like the '757GXII but no computer control
and some other slight differences. This may be a "tech special" or a
parts radio since it has a bad 100-watt PA stage. It is apart now but I
can put everything back together when sold if the buyer wishes. When I
last had the rig together the receiver was working fine. I believe that
the transmitter is also ok save for the bad PA stage. This rig shares
many components with the GXII and may be of some value as a parts source
later. For example, the tuning shaft bearing is in a bit better shape on
this rig so might be a candidate for a swap. Comes with Yaesu hand mic
and manual but no DC cord (uses a standard Jones 4-pin connector).
$75.00...$50.00 if it is sold with the GXII listed above.
3) Pyramid PS-26KS regulated DC power supply, with manual, in very good
condition. Adjustable from 6 to 15 volts at 20 amps, Runs the '757
nicely. Fully metered and has overvoltage/overcurrent protection. $60.00.
4) Radio Shack 21-533 SWR/field strength meter. Says it will handle a
kw, but I don't know about that. Looks new with f/s antenna, manual and
PL-259 jumper coax. $5.00.
5) Homebrew audio DSP unit with original assembly/operation
documentation. This is the W9GR DSP as described in the September 1992
issue of QST. Works very well. $20.00.
6) B&W model 376 "Protax" coax switch with large knob, faceplate and
wall bracket. Someone took the rear cover off the switch (perhaps for
repair?) but the switch works fine. $10.00.
7) Original SSB crystal filter for Kenwood TS-520. This is a TRIO
YG-3395S and was replaced by an INRAD 2.1kHz filter. Works fine. $15.00.
8) Two new GI-7B Russian triodes with considerable documentation on
building a kilowatt amplifier using these tubes. $40.00 for both.
9) 6-foot open frame rack with base for floor mounting. Older RCA rack
from a broadcast transmitter site. $10.00.
10) Used but serviceable bottom mast support for Ham-M style CDE rotors.
Bought on eBay and I subsequently found a tower which makes the support
unnecessary. Bracket only, no u-bolts, $10.00.
11) Powerstat variable transformer. 120/240VAC input 0-30VAC output at
25 amps (also labeled 15-0-15VAC at 30 amps). Large and heavy, came out
of a broadcast transmitter. $20.00.
12) Precision metering resistor, cartridge style. 1.5kv full-scale with
a 1ma meter. Resistor is about 6-inches long and 1-inch diameter. Comes
with mounting clips, $5.00.
13) Two Maxon HT's, one CS-0510 VHF HT and one CP-0520-HD UHF HT. The
VHF unit is complete, with battery and was functioning last time I
tried. The UHF unit is apart, has no battery and is in unknown
condition. Comes with two CA-1110A drop-in chargers. Neither are
converted to Amateur Radio frequencies. $10.00 for both.
14) Heathkit HD-1481 remote coax switch. This is the switch only. I
built a small power supply (I used a very large transformer which I am
keeping) to run the switch and it works fine. Comes with original
manual. $20.00.
Thanks,
Jack, W6NF
