Services for Don Mathis, KB5YAM, of Oak Point, Texas, will be held on
October 10 in Denton.  He served as the ARRL North Texas Section
Manager from 1999 - 2001.  He also served as Assistant Section Manager,
Technical Coordinator, Net Manager, Bulletin Manager and an Official
Relay Station.  He was known as a tireless worker for the NTS and
amateur radio.  He was a life member of the Dallas Amateur Radio Club.
He also served as District Staff Officer, Communications, and a Net
Manager for the United States Coast Guard Auxiliary.

The family has announced that a memorial service will be held on
October 10, 2007 at 12 Noon at the Mulkey-Mason funeral home in Denton,
Texas.  Guests are welcome to share their memories of Don at the
service.  Visitation will be held two hours prior to the service.  A
reception will follow at the Mathis home.  In lieu of flowers, the
family asks that donations be made to:  Coast Guard Auxiliary
Association, Operation Life Ring, 9449 Watson Industrial Park, St.
Louis, MO 63126
