New River Valley Amateur Radio Club

Meeting was held over the air on club repeaters due to COVID-19 concerns.
In addition, a simultaneous Zoom session was held.



Meeting called to order at 7:00 PM



Welcome and brief instructions from Cam Coble as President

*Reports*

Secretary’s Report – Edward Lener

Full report sent to club reflector shortly after the November meeting and
again on January 17. No corrections or additions received.



Treasurer’s Report – Steve Allen

Club is in good standing. Have funds to fix or replace needed equipment.
Email for further details.  2022 renewals are coming in, there have been 31
so far. The club typically has about 50 paid members for the year so
expecting more to come in.



WinLink Update – Danny Wylam

Tested things this morning and both gateways are working. Earlier in the
month had to deal with an Internet problem but that is now resolved. Let
him know if you encounter any problems using the system.



Repeater Update – Mike Herring

Nothing special to report. Things seem to be working well. Plan to go up to
the repeater again sometime after the snow melts.

*Old Business*

Club Build Project – Cam Coble

Of the eight that had registered, six people completed their build projects.
Some are now planning to go on to try building other kits using the skills
that they learned. More details are on the club web site at

Membership Renewals – Cam Coble

Cam encouraged people to renew their membership if they had not already
done so and to reach out to him with any questions about payment options.
Dues have remained unchanged.

*New Business*

Winter Field Day – Cam Coble

The club will be giving Winter Field Day a try this year.  Event is on
Saturday, January 29th. Thanks to Steve Allen for reserving the Appalachian
Conference Center in Dublin.  More details are available on the club web
site.



New Member Application

Christopher T. Akers, K4DFD applied for club membership. A vote was taken
and the application was approved unanimously.



*Blings n Things* – Goals!



Members discussed their Ham-related goals for 2022.



Meeting adjourned at 7:45 PM.
