[nrv-hams] ISO used HF radio

No outside antenna could be a sticky wicket.  Have you thought about having
someone with a mobile rig park in the parking lot?  Unless you're doing QRP
levels, I'm not sure I'd want to have an antenna in my living space
radiating at 100W.  No, I haven't done the calculations, just a knee-jerk
thought.

In any case, why not get the General anyway?  Can't hurt, you'll learn more
and when you get a rig (mobile, maybe?) you'll be ready.  Bear in mind that
the FCC is going to levy a $35 fee some time in the next few months, so
sooner is better for your upgrade if you're like me and would prefer to
keep the $35.  I have an ARRL General Class exam book if you'd like to
borrow it.
