Field Day Planning – Cam Coble led a discussion of Field Day planning and
logistics. Event will be held starting Saturday, June 27th in Randolph Park
in Dublin. Park is open but they are not taking reservations so Steve Allen
volunteered to go in extra early that day to secure a picnic shelter for
club use. Restrooms are open as normal. Water will be available but
attendees should plan to bring their own food and drinks this year.
Participants
should also bring their own face masks, gloves, sanitizer, etc. Use of
appropriate PPE is highly encouraged but will not be required since it is
an outdoor event. Be especially careful when sharing any equipment and try
to maintain social distancing per state guidelines. There will be three
stations. Bring your own headphones. Other equipment will be wiped down
between users. Check https://www.n4nrv.org/2020-field-day-june-27-28/ for
the latest details.

Pete Burkey has made arrangements for a generator from PowerZone in
Christiansburg. Chris Peters will bring a 5-gallon gas can and ethanol free
fuel is available from either the Liberty or Marathon stations nearby. May
hold a VE session. Check the club website for details on this.

Cam also expressed the need to buy three power supplies and three power
distribution blocks to set up for Field Day. These items could also be used
at other club events. Ben Williams made a motion to allow the club to spend
up to $750 for this purpose and Cindy Turner seconded. Steve Allen
reported there were sufficient funds available to cover such an expense. After
brief discussion a roll call vote was held and the motion passed
unanimously.
