Greetings,

The Virginia Tech Amateur Radio Association would like to inform any 
interested parties in the area that the Blacksburg Holiday Parade is 
fast approaching and we need volunteers. We have a history of assisting 
with communications in the parade and we would like to once again 
support the town in its event. The parade is on Friday, December 7, @ 
7:00 PM and I expect we will meet at least an hour prior in order to 
organize our efforts (stay tuned for a specific report time). 
Additionally, the rain date for the parade is set for Saturday, December 
8, @ 1:00 PM. The parade will begin near the intersection of Perry 
Street and Stanger Street and then travel down Main Street. Below is a 
link where you can sign up as well as a map detailing the parade route. 
We will be communicating using simplex VHF. Please let me know if you 
have any questions or if I've left out any information. More details to 
follow as we receive more information.
