CQ SKYWARN Spotters,

      Please spread the following words to your friends on the air, your 
club, etc -- SKYWARN Recognition Day is just around the corner, starting 
Friday night, 30 November at 7pm EST, running until Saturday, 1 
December, at 7pm.

     SKYWARN Recognition Day is an event sponsored by the National 
Weather Service in celebration of the contribution to public safety made 
by SKYWARN weather spotters.

     Blacksburg SKYWARN will be participating as WX4RNK with operations 
originating from the NWS Blacksburg SKYWARN Desk at the Weather Forecast 
Office, 1750 Forecast Drive in Blacksburg.  WX4RNK Operators will be on 
HF, Echolink, IRLP, and numerous local FM repeaters on air seeking 
contacts for SRD,

     If you're interested in operating from the Weather Forecast Office, 
please fill out the attached form and send it to Josh, KF4YLM, via 
email: kf4ylm at vt.edu <mailto:kf4ylm at vt.edu>  by 5pm on Wednesday, 28 
November.  We'll contact you to confirm your operating schedule.
