REF: Lights Out Exercise

To All:

I have had a number of people contact me about a rescheduling of the
Simulated Emergency Test (Lights Out) that was canceled due to a State of
Emergency, declared for Virginia during that weekend.  Most of the basic
ground work for the exercise can be used for any date.  In looking at
November there is a number of conflicts for a number of the people
involved.  There is an exercise planned for the the VDF on Friday and
Saturday, Nov. 6-7.  The National Weather Service is having a Skywarn
Advisory Committee meeting on Nov. 14th.  I have commitments for every
weekend from then to Christmas.

It appears the most open date is Saturday, October 31st from 0900 hours
until 1400 (2:00 pm).  This time slot should put us well ahead of the
"Trick or Treaters".  If you can participate or not, *please reply with a
yes or no*.  I will then revise the registration page and open
registrations to those that were unable to participate on the earlier
date.  Please reply by Oct 21st and if we have as many as 20 locations
(Agencies or people)  that will participate, we will go ahead with the 31st
of October date.   Check the website often for updates.
