[nrv-hams] Call for Old Radios! Exhibit for Wireless at VT 25th Anniversary

Hi, New River Valley Club!

I hope you are doing well.  I’m back from Antarctica and very busy working on my thesis.  I’m in NJ at the moment, but coming back to Blacksburg tomorrow.

Wireless at VT is going to be having a 25th anniversary celebration this year.  As part of it, they want to have a museum-style exhibit of radio technology.  Based on our history night last year (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=nbFgoGcQbcw <https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=nbFgoGcQbcw>), they would like our help in providing radios for the exhibit.  The exhibit will take place at the Virginia Tech Library on May 27, from 6 to 8 PM.

If you would like to lend some of your equipment, please send the following information to Joyce Donathan at donathan at vt.edu <mailto:donathan at vt.edu>.  It would also be great if you could CC me on it.  Please send:

1. A picture of the radio.
2. A brief description.
3. Does it work?  (It would be cool to have some live, working radios at the exhibit.)
