Dear NRV Hams,
I tried signing up for this study, but I did not meet the qualifications because I did not encounter live deer with the frequency they specified; and, as you will note in Linda Harris's reply, roadkill does not count. So, if you-all want to sign up for the study, feel free to email Ms. Harris. The original VT News item is here:

I'm not sure if the Listserv will pass the attachment that talked about having VTTI install some electronics for this five-month study that pays you $50 per month. So, do not hesitate to write Ms. Harris for additional details.

Rick

Subject: AVC Driving Study Information
Hi Rick,
Thank you for your inquiry about the AVC study. Unfortunately, dead deer don't count. What they are trying to study is how the live wildlife act and peoples reaction to those encounters. I did ask the researchers about having the "deer whistles" mounted on your car. They thought about it and decided that they may learn more about how effective they are in deterring the wildlife. If you are still interested and see live deer on or near the roadway during your normal commutes, please give me a call.
Attached you will find a little more information about it, and I will be happy to answer any question that you may have. I also need to ask you some questions, to make sure you meet the study requirements. Please give me a call when you have about 5 minutes to talk.
If you have friends, family or co-workers that might also be interested, please feel free to share my contact information.
I look forward to speaking with you,
Linda
