I have been in touch with the director of planning and GIS services for the
county and have been offered a role in the meeting on Wednesday evening. It
is not an official public hearing but rather a fact-finding and discussion
session. Getting in at the beginning is a good thing, because it's easier to
influence development of regulations from the get-go than to try to fix
